About the Organization

The Florida Justice Association is a statewide professional association of plaintiff trial lawyers that advocates for civil justice and the legal rights of injured Floridians. It provides continuing legal education, publicly promotes consumer and patient safety, files amicus briefs and takes positions on legislation to protect access to courts and preserve remedies for victims of negligence and corporate wrongdoing.

Policy Goals

Typically pursues policies that preserve and expand civil justice and access to jury trials, oppose tort‑limiting or liability‑shielding legislation, strengthen consumer and medical malpractice protections, promote product and workplace safety, and support rules of civil procedure that favor plaintiffs' ability to seek redress.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues and fees, continuing legal education and conference revenues, event sponsorships, and contributions from supporters.

Affiliates

Affiliated with the American Association for Justice and local county trial lawyer associations across Florida; membership comprises plaintiff personal injury attorneys and law firms.
