Georgia Watch is a statewide, nonpartisan consumer advocacy organization founded in 2002 and based in Atlanta, Georgia. Its mission is to protect and inform consumers so that all Georgians prosper and their communities thrive. The organization advances pro-consumer policies through education, advocacy, coalition building, and engagement with lawmakers, regulators, and the public.
Consumer protection, healthcare affordability and access, medical debt reform, hospital transparency and accountability, utility regulation and energy burden reduction, financial services and predatory lending reform, civil justice access, and economic equity policies affecting Georgia consumers.
Primarily supported by individual donations and philanthropic foundation grants.
Collaborates with organizations such as Georgians for a Healthy Future, SOWEGA Rising, Community Catalyst, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and The Leapfrog Group; Executive Director Liz Coyle.
