About the Organization

Global Health Council (GHC) is a U.S.-based membership nonprofit that convenes and represents global health advocates, implementers, policymakers, and funders. It works to advance policies, financing, and partnerships that improve health outcomes worldwide by amplifying the collective voice of the global health community and providing advocacy, convening, and capacity-building services.

Policy Goals

Advocacy for sustained U.S. and international funding for global health programs (e.g., HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, immunization), global health security and pandemic preparedness, health systems strengthening, equitable access to vaccines and essential services, support for multilateral health institutions and public‑private partnerships, and policies that advance health equity and workforce capacity in low‑ and middle‑income countries.

Funding

Primarily supported by membership dues and fees, foundation and philanthropic grants, corporate and institutional sponsorships, and program service revenue.

Affiliates

Works in partnership with major global health stakeholders including multilateral and technical agencies (e.g., World Health Organization, U.S. CDC), global health alliances and funders (e.g., Gavi, philanthropic foundations), and a broad membership of international NGOs, academic institutions, and implementing partners.
