Gold Star Wives of America, Inc. is a Congressionally chartered nonprofit service organization representing surviving spouses of U.S. military members and their children. Its mission is to preserve and enhance benefits for military survivors, provide mutual support, and advocate for recognition and assistance for those who have lost a spouse in military service.
Military survivor benefits, veterans’ and survivors’ compensation, educational benefits, medical care, family support services, and related federal policies affecting surviving spouses and dependent children.
Primarily member dues, donations, sponsorships, and other nonprofit fundraising support.
United States Congress; national and local Gold Star Wives chapters; leadership and members of the organization, including its National President and Board of Directors.
