The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) is a professional, member‑based organization that represents and supports golf course superintendents and turf management professionals in the United States and abroad. GCSAA’s mission is to advance the profession through education, research, promotion of best practices in turf and environmental stewardship, and by providing technical resources and professional development for its members.
Advocates on issues affecting turf management and golf course operations, including pesticide and fertilizer regulation and applicator licensing, water use and conservation, environmental stewardship and habitat protection, funding for turfgrass research and extension, workforce development and training/certification, occupational safety and handling of agricultural chemicals, and state and federal policies that affect day‑to‑day course management.
Primarily funded by membership dues, education and certification fees, revenue from events and the annual conference/trade show, sponsorships and advertising, publications, and support for its affiliated foundation and research programs.
