The Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association (GMBHA) is a membership-based trade association that represents hotels and allied hospitality businesses across Miami‑Dade County. GMBHA advocates for members on local, state and federal issues, promotes Miami as a visitor destination, hosts industry education and networking events, and runs initiatives on sustainability and workforce development to support the region's tourism economy.
Advocacy for tourism marketing and destination funding, hotel/bed tax and tourist development tax allocation, regulation of short‑term rentals, zoning and permitting for hospitality development, workforce training and hospitality employment issues, public safety and transportation policies that affect visitation and conventions, sustainability practices and resilience measures for coastal tourism infrastructure.
Primarily funded by membership dues from member hotels and allied businesses, event and sponsorship revenue, and fees for programs and educational events.
Works closely with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (Visit Miami), the Florida Hotel & Lodging Association, the American Hotel & Lodging Association; current leadership includes President & CEO Curtis Crider and Board Chair Amir Blattner.
