Grow the Flow is a Utah-based, citizen-led movement and public campaign focused on restoring and protecting the Great Salt Lake by uniting scientists, farmers, faith leaders, students, and everyday Utahns to build public will, advance research, and drive policy and funding to increase inflows and restore the lake's ecosystem and public-health protections. The initiative operates under the nonprofit Conserve Utah Valley.
Advocacy for water resource and environmental policy changes including water conservation and allocation reforms to increase lake inflows, state and local funding and appropriations for Great Salt Lake restoration, legal/policy tools to streamline water transfers or incentives for farmers and municipalities, support for monitoring and research funding, and public-health and air-quality mitigation tied to the lakebed.
Primarily funded through charitable donations and philanthropic grants routed through Conserve Utah Valley, supplemented by fundraising campaigns, individual donations, and grant funding for research and restoration projects.
