Gwich'in Council International (GCI) is a not-for-profit Indigenous organization that represents roughly 9,000 Gwich'in people in the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Alaska. As a Permanent Participant to the Arctic Council, GCI amplifies Gwich'in priorities at international fora on sustainable development, Arctic conservation, climate change, renewable energy, and protection of culturally and ecologically significant lands and species.
Primarily project and program grants, government contracts/support for Arctic engagement (e.g., federal funding), foundation and philanthropic grants, and member/partner contributions.
