The HIMSS Electronic Health Record Association (EHRA) is a HIMSS-affiliated industry association representing companies that develop electronic health record and related health IT products. It focuses on advancing interoperable, secure, and effective health information technology to improve care delivery and health system performance.
Health IT policy, electronic health record adoption, interoperability, data exchange standards, prior authorization, privacy and security, digital transformation, and federal health IT regulation.
Primarily funded by member companies and association membership dues through HIMSS.
Affiliated with HIMSS; member organizations include major health IT vendors and EHR companies. HIMSS leadership and health IT policy staff are closely associated with the association.
