About the Organization

Hispanic Federation is a U.S.-based nonprofit membership organization founded in 1990 and headquartered in New York City that works to empower and advance Latino communities through advocacy, direct community programs, capacity-building for Latino nonprofits, grantmaking, and civic engagement across multiple states and territories.

Policy Goals

Advocacy for immigration reform and immigrant services, civic engagement and voter registration, education equity, health care access and public-health outreach, economic empowerment and workforce development, environmental and climate justice, disaster recovery and resilience, and policies that strengthen nonprofit capacity and funding.

Funding

Primarily philanthropic support including foundation grants, corporate partnerships and sponsorships, individual donations and fundraising events, program/service contracts and occasional government grants.

Affiliates

UnitedHealth Foundation, Flamboyan Foundation, The New York Times Community Fund, partnerships with regional Latino nonprofits and cultural figures such as Lin-Manuel Miranda
