About the Organization

Indivisible is a national progressive grassroots movement and organizing network founded in 2016 that supports local chapters and a professional national team to pressure elected officials, defend democratic norms, mobilize voters, and advance a progressive policy agenda.

Policy Goals

Focuses on democracy protection and voting rights, opposing conservative/authoritarian policies, defending reproductive and civil rights, expanding access to health care, climate and environmental action, immigrant and economic justice, corporate accountability, and supporting progressive candidates at local, state, and federal levels.

Funding

Primarily small-dollar grassroots donations and local fundraising, supplemented by philanthropic grants and large individual donors, internal transfers among affiliated entities, and PAC fundraising for electoral activity.

Affiliates

Co‑executive directors and co‑founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin; affiliated entities Indivisible Civics, Indivisible Project, Indivisible Action, and thousands of autonomous local Indivisible chapters; has received support from national philanthropic donors and high‑profile individual contributors.

Legal Structure

Network of affiliated organizations: Indivisible Civics (501(c)(3) nonprofit), Indivisible Project (501(c)(4) social welfare organization), and Indivisible Action (political action committee).
