About the Organization

The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank that conducts research and advocacy to advance public policies that promote technological innovation, economic growth, and productivity. ITIF publishes reports, policy briefs, and recommendations on issues across the digital economy, R&D, intellectual property, competition, broadband, and emerging technologies.

Policy Goals

Technology and innovation policy; federal R&D funding and tax incentives for innovation; intellectual property protection and patent policy; digital economy and data governance; broadband and telecommunications deployment; competition and antitrust as they relate to innovation; trade and industrial policy affecting tech; governance of emerging technologies such as AI and biotech.

Funding

Primarily supported by corporate sponsors (technology, telecommunications, and other industry donors), philanthropic foundations, and grants and donations from individuals and institutions.
