The Institute for Policy Studies is a long-running progressive research and advocacy organization that produces public scholarship, policy analysis, and movement-oriented reports on economic justice, racial justice, climate justice, peace, and related social issues. Its Poverty Project focuses on poverty, inequality, and related policy solutions, often in partnership with social movements such as the Poor People’s Campaign.
Economic justice, anti-poverty policy, wealth and income inequality, criminal justice reform, racial and gender justice, climate justice, peace and foreign policy, and budget priorities that shift resources toward people and communities.
Primarily funded by nonprofit foundations and individual donors; it does not accept government funding and says it does not take money from corporations or governments.
