About the Organization

The International Peace Bureau (IPB) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion of peace, disarmament, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. Founded in 1891, it works with a global network of partner organizations to advocate for reductions in military spending and the reallocation of resources toward social and environmental needs.

Policy Goals

Nuclear disarmament, reduction of global military expenditures, arms control, conflict prevention, peaceful conflict resolution, and the redirection of military spending toward sustainable development and social programs

Funding

Membership dues, foundation grants, donations from individuals, and contributions from partner organizations

Affiliates

Global Campaign on Military Spending (GCOMS), International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), and a worldwide network of peace and disarmament organizations
