The Investment Company Institute (ICI) is a national trade association representing U.S. regulated investment funds, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds, and unit investment trusts. Its mission is to strengthen retirement security and build investor confidence by advocating for policies that support fund shareholders and promote sound financial regulation.
ICI advocates for policies related to securities regulation, retirement and pension policy, tax policy affecting investment products, capital markets regulation, financial reporting and disclosure standards, and regulatory oversight of asset managers and investment funds.
