Description: The Labor Campaign for Single Payer is a national labor-led advocacy coalition that organizes unions, labor councils and rank-and-file workers to advance a publicly financed single-payer (Medicare-for-All) health care system, with a mission to make health care a human right and to take health care off the bargaining table. Type: Non-profit coalition / advocacy organization Policies: Promotes federal Medicare-for-All and state single-payer legislation, labor-centered health justice policies, removal of for-profit insurance from the system, protections and retraining supports for workers affected by system changes, and grassroots union organizing and education on single-payer reforms. Funding: Receives funding from affiliated unions and individual donors; the organization states it does not accept corporate or foundation monies. Affiliates: Affiliated unions and partners include the American Postal Workers Union (APWU), Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA), National Nurses United (NNU), National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW), Massachusetts and Minnesota Nurses Associations, multiple state AFL-CIOs and central labor councils; named leaders and advisors include National Coordinator Rose Roach, Sara Nelson, Mark Dimondstein and Mark Dudzic.
