About the Organization

The Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) is a national Latino labor organization founded in 1973 that advocates for the rights and advancement of Latino workers and their families. As the official Latino constituency group of the AFL-CIO, LCLAA works to promote economic justice, workers’ rights, immigration reform, civic engagement, and leadership development within the labor movement.

Policy Goals

Workers’ rights, collective bargaining protections, immigration reform, civil rights, voting rights, workforce development, and policies addressing economic equity for Latino and immigrant communities

Funding

Membership dues, labor union support, and contributions from affiliated labor organizations and partners
