Leading Builders of America (LBA) is a CEO‑led industry association founded in 2009 that represents many of the largest homebuilding companies in North America. LBA's stated mission is to preserve home affordability for American families by evaluating federal and state public policy and engaging on issues that affect housing supply, cost, and the business environment for homebuilders.
Housing affordability and supply, federal and state housing finance, land use and zoning, building codes and standards, construction workforce and training, regulatory reform, mortgage and title policy, infrastructure and tax issues affecting homebuilding.
Primarily funded by membership dues and contributions from member homebuilding companies and industry-sponsored programs or events.
Major member companies include D.R. Horton, Lennar, PulteGroup, KB Home, Toll Brothers, Meritage, LGI Homes and Clayton Homes; affiliated initiative Building Talent Foundation; senior staff such as CEO Ken Gear.
