About the Organization

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is a U.S. environmental advocacy organization that builds political power to protect the climate, clean air and water, public lands, and environmental justice by mobilizing voters, influencing policy, and holding elected officials accountable.

Policy Goals

Advances federal and state policies on climate change and clean energy, air and water protection, public lands conservation, toxic pollution and chemical safety, environmental justice, and related democratic reforms through electoral engagement, lobbying, public education, and scorecarding of officials.

Funding

Primarily funded by individual donors and grassroots contributions, philanthropic foundations and major environmental donors, plus political contributions and PAC fundraising for its electoral activities.
