About the Organization

The League of Women Voters of the United States is a nonpartisan, membership-based civic organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, defends and expands voting rights, and provides voter education and public policy analysis to support representative democracy.

Policy Goals

Voting rights and election administration, redistricting and fair maps, campaign finance transparency, civic and voter education, government accountability and transparency, and related public policy issues where voter information and democratic participation are central.

Funding

Membership dues, individual donations, grants from foundations, fundraising events, and program/service revenue.

Affiliates

League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF), state and local Leagues of Women Voters, and partnerships with other civic and democracy-focused organizations.
