About the Organization

Medicare for All Florida is an incorporated, grassroots, member-led not-for-profit founded in 2021 and incorporated in 2022 to build public support for single-payer “Medicare for All” in Florida. The group runs statewide virtual town halls, local organizing, petition drives, trainings, and campaigns to pass state and federal legislation and local resolutions advancing universal, publicly financed healthcare.

Policy Goals

Advocacy for state and federal single-payer Medicare for All legislation; passage of local resolutions endorsing universal healthcare; efforts to lower prescription drug costs (e.g., insulin caps); expanding access to care and removing private-insurance barriers; public education and candidate engagement on healthcare reform.
