About the Organization

The Michigan Senate Republican Caucus is the formal organization of Republican members of the Michigan State Senate that coordinates the caucus’s legislative agenda, messaging, staffing and strategy, and represents Republican policy priorities in the state legislature.

Policy Goals

Typically advances conservative and pro‑business state policies including fiscal restraint and tax reduction, regulatory relief, economic development and small business support, public safety and law‑and‑order measures, and education policies such as school choice and accountability; opposes expansions of state spending and regulation favored by Democratic lawmakers.

Funding

Primarily funded through legislative resources and member office budgets, contributions to the caucus committee and affiliated political action committees, and donations from individuals, businesses and organizations aligned with Republican priorities, with coordination and support from the Michigan Republican Party.
