The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is an NCAA Division I collegiate athletic conference composed primarily of historically Black colleges and universities on the U.S. East Coast. Its mission is to oversee intercollegiate athletics competition and support student-athlete academic success, graduation, and development.
Intercollegiate athletics governance, student-athlete academic support, championship administration, compliance, media relations, corporate partnerships, and institutional development for member schools.
Primarily funded through conference revenues, including media rights, sponsorships, championships, and member institution dues.
Member institutions include Howard University, Norfolk State University, North Carolina Central University, Morgan State University, Coppin State University, Delaware State University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and South Carolina State University. The conference is led by Commissioner Sonja O. Stills.
