About the Organization

The Milken Institute is a nonpartisan, nonprofit think tank founded to accelerate meaningful, measurable progress on global economic and public health challenges by producing research, convening leaders, and promoting market-based policy solutions to expand economic opportunity and improve health outcomes.

Policy Goals

Economic growth and access to capital, financial markets and innovation, public health and biomedical research policy, workforce development and education, regional and urban economic development, philanthropy and social impact financing, and public finance and tax policy.

Funding

Primarily philanthropic contributions and individual donations, supplemented by corporate and foundation sponsorships, conference and event revenue, membership fees, and research grants.

Founder Michael Milken and Lowell Milken; Milken Institute Global Conference; FasterCures (Milken Institute center); Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University (named affiliate through philanthropic support).
