Missouri Coalition for the Environment is a statewide environmental advocacy organization founded in 1969 that works to protect Missouri’s air, water, land, and public health. The organization engages in policy advocacy, public education, and community organizing to advance environmental protection and promote sustainable solutions.
Environmental protection, clean water standards, air quality regulation, renewable energy development, climate change mitigation, conservation of public lands, environmental justice, and opposition to pollution from industrial and agricultural sources.
Primarily funded through individual donations, foundation grants, and membership contributions.
Works in coalition with regional and national environmental organizations and community advocacy groups focused on conservation and public health.
