Montana Environmental Information Center (MEIC) is a non-partisan, non-profit environmental advocacy organization founded in 1973 that works to protect Montana’s clean air, clean water, and livable climate.
Environmental protection, clean air and water regulation, climate policy, public lands and natural resource conservation, renewable energy, environmental justice, and enforcement or strengthening of environmental laws and permitting standards.
Primarily supported by individual members, donors, and charitable contributions; it also identifies as a 501(c)(3) organization.
Founded by Robin and Phil Tawney; works with members, supporters, and allied environmental and public-interest organizations in Montana.
