About the Organization

The National Association of Affordable Housing Lenders (NAAHL) is a national nonprofit trade association that represents banks, community development financial institutions, and other financial organizations committed to financing affordable housing and community development. Its mission is to expand access to affordable housing by promoting responsible lending, public–private partnerships, and effective housing finance policy.

Policy Goals

Affordable housing finance, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program support, community reinvestment policy, housing supply expansion, community development initiatives, and federal housing finance reform

Funding

Membership dues from financial institutions and housing finance organizations, conference and event revenue

Affiliates

Member financial institutions, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), affordable housing developers, and partnerships with organizations such as the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition
