About the Organization

National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD) is a national nonprofit membership coalition that organizes and strengthens Asian American and Pacific Islander community development corporations and grassroots groups to advance affordable housing, community development, economic opportunity, disaster recovery, and racial and social justice for AAPI communities.

Policy Goals

Advocacy for affordable housing and anti-displacement policies, community development financing and capacity building, equitable disaster recovery, access to federal and state funding and services, immigrant and language access, small business support, fair lending and financial inclusion, and racial equity/civil rights measures that benefit AAPI-serving community-based organizations.

Funding

Primarily funded by foundation and philanthropic grants, federal and state government grants and contracts, donations, and financial support from member organizations.

Affiliates

A nationwide network of local AAPI community development corporations and community-based organizations, and frequent partnerships with national housing, civil rights, and community development coalitions and advocacy groups.
