About the Organization

The National Coalition on Black Civic Participation (NCBCP), founded in 1976, is a national, non-partisan civil rights organization dedicated to increasing civic engagement, voter participation, and equal and equitable opportunities in Black and underserved communities. Through leadership development, advocacy, organizing, and research initiatives, the Coalition works to eliminate barriers to participation in democracy and to strengthen the political, social, and economic power of Black communities.

Policy Goals

Voting rights and election access, civic engagement and voter mobilization, leadership development, women and youth empowerment, economic justice, social justice, and policies addressing barriers to political participation in Black communities

Funding

Philanthropic foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, organizational partnerships, and individual donations
