About the Organization

The National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) is a national nonprofit membership coalition that advocates for fair access to credit, capital, and economic opportunity in low- and moderate-income communities. NCRC conducts research, policy analysis, community outreach, training, technical assistance, and public advocacy to strengthen enforcement of fair lending and community reinvestment laws and to advance equitable neighborhood investment and stabilization.

Policy Goals

Banking and financial regulation reform, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) enforcement, fair lending and anti‑redlining, affordable housing and foreclosure prevention, support for community development financial institutions (CDFIs) and small business lending, consumer financial protections, neighborhood stabilization and equitable economic development.

Funding

Primarily funded through foundation grants and philanthropic donations, membership dues from community organizations, program service revenue and fees, and occasional government or contract grants.

Affiliates

A nationwide network of state and local community reinvestment coalitions and community-based organizations, partnerships with civil rights and consumer advocacy groups and CDFIs, and collaborations with local housing and community development leaders.
