About the Organization

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing is a national membership organization and nonprofit association that represents mental health and substance use treatment providers. Its mission is to advance mental wellbeing by expanding access to care, strengthening the behavioral health workforce, building provider capacity, and promoting mental health literacy.

Policy Goals

Behavioral health and substance use treatment access, federal and state funding for mental health services, workforce development, integrated care and payment models, provider capacity building, and public health/mental health literacy initiatives.

Funding

Primarily membership dues, program revenue, grants, donations, and fundraising support.

Affiliates

More than 3,200 member organizations; Mental Health First Aid; CEO Alliance for Mental Health; President and CEO Charles Ingoglia.
