The National Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC) is a U.S. trade association that represents farmer‑owned agricultural cooperatives. NCFC advocates for public policies that strengthen the cooperative business model, supports member education and leadership development, and promotes market access, rural economic development, and the financial health of member cooperatives and their owner‑members.
Federal agricultural and farm program policy, cooperative law and tax treatment, trade and export policy, energy and biofuels policy, rural infrastructure and broadband, regulatory compliance and environmental policy affecting agriculture, antitrust/cooperative exemptions, and workforce/labor issues impacting cooperatives.
Primarily funded by membership dues and assessments from member farmer cooperatives, supplemented by event fees, sponsorships, and program revenue.
State and regional cooperative associations and major U.S. farmer‑owned cooperatives and cooperative service organizations, including entities such as Land O’Lakes, CHS Inc., Growmark and cooperative banks, as well as cooperative industry executives and board leadership.
