The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is a U.S.-based non-profit trade association that represents the defense industrial base and seeks to strengthen national security by fostering collaboration among government, industry, and academia through advocacy, professional development, conferences, and forums on acquisition, technology, and sustainment.
Advocacy on defense acquisition and procurement policy, defense budget and appropriations priorities, industrial base resilience and supply chain security, research and development and technology transition, export controls and international sales, workforce development and training, sustainment/logistics, and cybersecurity standards and policies.
Primarily funded by membership dues and fees from corporate members and industry suppliers, corporate sponsorships, conference and event revenue, and program grants.
Major defense contractors and industry members such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon Technologies, and General Dynamics; partnerships with U.S. Department of Defense components, the military services, academic institutions, and a national network of NDIA chapters and divisions.
