The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is a U.S.-based nonprofit membership and advocacy organization that organizes and represents nannies, housecleaners, and home-care workers to advance labor protections, fair wages, benefits, and recognition for domestic and care work.
Promotes labor and employment protections for domestic workers including minimum wage and overtime coverage, paid leave and caregiver supports, workplace safety and anti-discrimination measures, pathways to collective action, and policies linking care work to immigration and public-benefit reforms.
Primarily funded by philanthropic foundation grants and individual donations, supplemented by membership support and occasional public grants and underwriting from allied organizations.
