The National Energy & Fuels Institute (NEFI) is a national trade association representing wholesale and retail liquid heating fuel distributors and related service companies. Its mission is to promote the interests of the heating oil and liquid fuels industry, support energy security, and advance policies that ensure affordable and reliable energy for consumers.
Energy policy, fuel distribution regulations, environmental and emissions standards, renewable and biofuel blending requirements, small business and tax policy, transportation and infrastructure regulations, and workforce development issues affecting the heating fuels industry.
Membership dues from fuel distributors, wholesalers, and affiliated industry companies, as well as event sponsorships and industry partnerships.
State and regional fuel oil and energy marketers associations, heating equipment manufacturers, renewable liquid fuels advocates, and affiliated state trade groups.
