About the Organization

The National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is the largest U.S. organization representing sworn law enforcement officers. It provides member services including legal representation, training, professional development, and advocates publicly and legislatively on matters affecting policing and officer welfare.

Policy Goals

Typically pursues policies that strengthen law enforcement resources and officer protections—such as funding for policing, officer safety and training, collective bargaining and pension protections—and advocates for criminal justice and public safety measures while opposing proposals it views as undermining policing capacity.

Funding

Primarily funded by member dues and assessments from state and local lodges, donations and fundraising, revenue from conferences and publications, and contributions to affiliated PACs and foundations.

State and local FOP lodges across the United States; the FOP Political Action Committee (FOP-PAC); the Fraternal Order of Police Foundation and auxiliary/local affiliates.
