The National Health Council is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit coalition founded in 1920 that brings together patient organizations, health-related nonprofits, and health industry stakeholders to advance patient-centered health policy for people living with chronic diseases and disabilities.
Patient-centered health care policy, access to affordable and high-value care, health equity, research support, patient engagement, and policies affecting chronic disease, disability, Medicare drug pricing, and the nonprofit health ecosystem.
Primarily supported by member dues, organizational support, and contributions from member organizations and corporate partners.
Core membership includes leading patient advocacy organizations, along with professional associations, nonprofits, and companies in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, health insurance, and biotechnology.
