The National HIDTA Directors Association (NHDA) is a professional association representing the executive directors of the 33 federally designated High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) regions across the United States and its territories. Formed in 2005, the association provides a unified voice for HIDTA leadership, promotes interagency collaboration, and advocates for policies that strengthen coordinated federal, state, local, and tribal efforts to disrupt and dismantle major drug trafficking organizations.
Federal drug control strategy, funding and reauthorization of the HIDTA program, law enforcement coordination, counter-narcotics enforcement, overdose response initiatives, drug trafficking interdiction, and related appropriations and criminal justice policies.
Primarily supported through contributions and support associated with the federally funded HIDTA program and its member regions.
High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) regional offices nationwide; Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP); National HIDTA Assistance Center (NHAC); and national law enforcement associations including the Major County Sheriffs of America and the National Narcotic Officers’ Associations’ Coalition.
