NAKASEC (National Korean American Service & Education Consortium) is a national, community-based organization that organizes Korean American and broader Asian immigrant communities to advance immigrant rights, civic participation, economic and racial justice, and public-policy change through grassroots organizing, leadership development, and voter mobilization.
Immigration reform and immigrant legal protections, voter registration and civic engagement, language access, workers' rights and economic justice, racial equity and anti-discrimination policy, access to public benefits and social services, and community-driven local policy reforms.
Primarily funded by individual donations and membership contributions, philanthropic foundation grants, and project-specific grants and donations from allied organizations and supporters.
Local Korean American community organizations and community centers, national immigrant-rights and Asian American advocacy coalitions, allied labor unions and faith-based immigrant justice groups, and regional NAKASEC affiliate chapters.
