The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) is a U.S.-based trade association that represents the interests of dairy cooperatives and the farmers they serve. NMPF develops and advocates for public policy, market and industry programs, and research to support farm-level viability, fair milk pricing, food safety, nutrition programs, and dairy trade.
Federal milk pricing and marketing orders, farm safety-net and dairy income supports, agricultural trade and export promotion, nutrition program participation (school lunch, WIC), food safety and animal health standards, dairy labeling and marketing, and environmental and sustainability policy affecting dairy production.
Primarily funded by dues and fees from member dairy cooperatives and industry members, plus revenue from policy services and program partnerships.
Large cooperative members such as Dairy Farmers of America and Land O'Lakes; partner organizations including the U.S. Dairy Export Council and state dairy producers associations.
