The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) is a U.S. nonprofit trade association representing pork producers and allied businesses. It advocates for policies to protect and expand pork markets, promote animal health and food safety, support science-based regulation, and sustain the economic viability of hog farms.
Advocates for agricultural and trade policies that expand domestic and international market access for pork, support animal health and biosecurity, promote science-based food-safety and environmental regulation, and pursue labor, transportation, tax and liability policies favorable to pork producers.
Primarily funded by membership dues from pork producers and allied businesses, corporate sponsorships, event and conference revenue, and donations.
State pork producer associations, the National Pork Board (pork checkoff program), allied agricultural organizations such as the American Farm Bureau Federation, and industry agribusiness partners.
