The National Retail Federation (NRF) is the largest U.S. retail trade association, representing retailers of all sizes and formats. NRF advocates for public policies that support retail growth and competitiveness, produces industry research and events, and provides member services including training, data, and best-practice guidance.
Advocates for pro-business tax and regulatory policies, trade and supply-chain improvements, workforce development and training programs, pragmatic data-privacy and cybersecurity frameworks, payments and financial-services rules that enable commerce, and public-safety and e-commerce policy favorable to retailers.
Primarily funded by membership dues and corporate sponsorships, event and conference fees (including major industry shows), revenue from research and training products, and grants or program-specific contributions.
State retail federations, the NRF Foundation (charitable workforce and education arm), and major retail members and sponsors such as Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Best Buy, Macy's, and Kroger.
