The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) is the primary U.S. trade association representing producers of crushed stone, sand and gravel. It advocates for the aggregates industry before federal and state policymakers, promotes safety and environmental stewardship, provides technical research and best-practice guidance, and delivers member services such as data, training, and public affairs support.
Advocacy for infrastructure investment and transportation funding, permitting and regulatory reform for surface mining and aggregate operations, environmental compliance and reclamation policies, Clean Water and Air regulatory engagement, workforce development and safety/OSHA-related standards, tax and trade policies affecting construction materials, and policy positions that support market access for aggregates used in public works.
Primarily funded by membership dues and assessments from aggregate producers, suppliers and equipment manufacturers, plus revenue from conferences, training programs, sponsorships and publications.
