About the Organization

The Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA) is a non‑profit trade association that represents companies engaged in the supply, marketing and trading of natural gas in North America. NGSA advocates for policies that support reliable, competitive gas markets, efficient transportation and infrastructure, and market‑based approaches to energy and environmental challenges.

Policy Goals

Supports energy and utility policies that promote competitive natural gas markets, open pipeline access and infrastructure development (including LNG export facilities), market‑based regulatory frameworks, tax and trade measures favorable to gas suppliers, and voluntary/technology‑driven approaches to emissions reduction and safety.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues and fees from member companies (natural gas producers, marketers, pipelines and energy trading firms), supplemented by sponsorships and event revenue.

Affiliates

Membership comprises major integrated energy companies, independent natural gas producers, marketers and trading firms; the association commonly collaborates with other energy industry groups such as the American Petroleum Institute (API), American Gas Association (AGA) and the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA).
