About the Organization

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a national environmental advocacy organization dedicated to protecting public health and the environment. Founded in 1970, NRDC works to safeguard clean air and water, combat climate change, protect wildlife and natural ecosystems, and promote sustainable communities through litigation, scientific research, and policy advocacy.
