New Economy Project is a New York City-based economic justice organization that works with community groups and low-income residents to build a just economy rooted in racial and social justice, cooperation, neighborhood equity, and ecological sustainability.
Economic justice, financial justice, community wealth building, affordable housing, community land trusts, public banking, worker cooperatives, renewable energy, consumer protection, and impact litigation related to economic rights.
Primarily supported by individual donations, foundation grants, elected officials’ office support, and program-related investments/donations for its loan fund.
