New Mexico Interfaith Power and Light (NMIPL) is a statewide faith-based environmental organization founded in 2005 that engages people of diverse religious traditions in climate action and environmental justice. As a state affiliate of the national Interfaith Power & Light network, NMIPL works with congregations across New Mexico to promote energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and public advocacy grounded in shared spiritual commitments to care for creation and protect vulnerable communities.
Climate change mitigation, clean and renewable energy development, energy efficiency standards, methane and air pollution regulation, environmental justice protections, and faith-based community resilience initiatives.
Primarily supported through donations from individuals and congregations, foundation grants, and partner contributions.
