The North Carolina Rural Center is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to developing, promoting, and implementing sound economic strategies to improve the quality of life for rural North Carolinians. Through research, leadership development, small business lending, broadband expansion, and policy advocacy, the Rural Center works to strengthen rural communities across the state. The organization is also a member of the national Partners for Rural Transformation (PRT) coalition, which advances economic mobility and investment in persistent poverty regions across rural America.
