About the Organization

Nurse-Family Partnership is a national non-profit that delivers an evidence-based home visiting model pairing registered nurses with first-time, low-income mothers from pregnancy through the child’s second birthday to improve maternal and child health, early development, and family economic self-sufficiency.

Policy Goals

Advocacy for public funding of home visiting and early childhood programs, maternal and child health policy, Medicaid and other healthcare reimbursement for home-based services, workforce supports for nurses and home visitors, evidence-based program funding and evaluation, prevention of child maltreatment and promotion of early development

Funding

Primarily a mix of public funding (federal, state, and local grants and contracts) and private philanthropy, supplemented by service agreements and occasional Medicaid reimbursements
