The chapter runs local programs including civic engagement, leadership development and youth scholarships, and conducts outreach on anti-discrimination, cultural and community issues affecting AAPIs in the Bay Area.
Typically pursues policies related to civil rights and anti-discrimination, hate-crime prevention, voting access and civic participation, immigrant and language-access protections, AAPI representation in government and public institutions, education equity, small‑business and community support, and culturally competent public health and social services.
Primarily funded through membership dues, individual donations, local fundraising events and sponsorships, occasional grants and in‑kind support from community partners.
